Alarm signaling by phone call
Alarms or events can be signalized by a phone call. This procedure uses the transmitting of the phone number of the telephone network. For each event, the HomeServer uses one of its own numbers for dialing Based on this number "to be called" - which, i.e. is shown in the display of the mobile telephone - an event can be identified. If, in addition to this, the corresponding number and the appropriate event (e.g. as a name) has been entered into the telephone book of the mobile telephone, then who is calling and the event in question can both be shown in the display.
No voice message is sent.
A phone call is triggered by a command. The person or groups of persons to be notified are gathered together as the call recipient group.

Important:
  • The alarm is considered as having been transmitted when the caller is reachable.
  • The person being called must not pick up!
  • If the telephone is busy, then there is a redial
  • If the mobile telephone is switched off (without answering machine), then there is a redial

  • Explanation of the term "reachable"
The HomeServer 2 dials the number of the recipient and the call is considered as transmitted when the caller is reachable and the telephone rings for the set time (parameter: time in seconds) or the call is accepted.
If the caller refuses the call then the participant is deemed not reachable and the call is repeated after the redial time. No more calls are made after the Max age time (in seconds).

Explanation of the term "several recipients"
If two callers are entered in the list of recipients,
then an attempt is made to call the first recipient.
If this caller can not be reached then the second recipient is called.
If this caller refuses the call then the first recipient is again called.
The dialing attempts end after the time indicated in the parameter Max age (in seconds).
The procedure is similar if there are several recipients.

To define a call as an alarm for a particular problem,
switch to the "Alarm signaling" window. Place the mouse pointer on the "Call" folder in the directory tree. Press the right mouse button. A pulldown menu opens. Select "Create alarm". To guarantee a better overview, you can sort calls into folders, e.g. that inform about alarms in a particular area. Folders are stored like calls.

    Designation
    Designation of the telephone alarm.
    Sender no.
The recipient of the alarm call sees this number in his display.
    Attention:
The number used here must be assigned to the ISDN-S Null to which the HomeServer is connected!
The HomeServer transmits the numbers that are assigned logically to the ISDN-S Null.
Generally, only the direct dial number, or the number if the connection without dialing prefix, must be entered here.
    Time (duration) in seconds
The HomeServer lets the call ring by the recipient during this time.
    Repetition (redial) in seconds
If the number is busy or the recipient is not reached, then a redial attempt is made at this time interval.
    Deadtime in seconds
The deadtime prevents calls being made in intervals that are too short.
    Max age in seconds
The maximum age of the telephone alarm is entered here. If this time is exceeded then the alarm lapses and is no further attempt is made. This time applies when the recipient is continuously busy or unreachable
