Archive in general
Archive in general
The HomeServer can record and archive communication objects (internal and EIB).
Recording can be cyclic and by means of a command.
All data can be called up in various formats (csv, html, xml), thereby allowing it to be reused, e.g. for display in a graph or in a spreadsheet.
There is also a menu page which displays data directly in form of a diagram.
An archive can be sent by E-mail.
The information can also be called up within a network, by direct ISDN dialup or via the internet.
Archives are comprised of an archive head, archive lines, E-mail recipient and the predefined data requests.

The data are stored permanently (retentive) within a ring memory. The memory is similar to a table that is comprised of lines and columns. Each archive can be configured. This means that you stipulate how many data records (lines) and how much status information (columns) is to be contained in the memory. An archive must contain at least one line and can contain a maximum of 50,000 lines. All archives together may contain a maximum of 200,000 data records
Furthermore, you can create up to 32 columns. The first column always contains the date and time the archive is stored.
If the ring memory is full and a new data record is to be stored then the oldest data record is overwritten.

Attention: The maximum values listed above are the extreme limits.
No larger values can be used in the HomeServer and HomeServer Expert.
These values do not represent a property of the storage capacity.
Depending on the data to be stored and the compression procedure used, the storage capacity may be considerably smaller!
Archive
The conditions of communication objects are archived in the data archive.
Archiving can be triggered by a command. The data can also be recorded in cycles.

Questions on this topic are dealt with in the FAQ.
To create a data archive, switch to the "Archive" window. Place the mouse pointer on the "Data archive" folder in the directory tree. Press the right mouse button. A pulldown menu opens. Click on "Create data archive". A new archive is added to the directory tree. Every newly created data archive contains the headings "Columns", "Send by E-mail" and "Browser request".

In "Columns", you can set which data within a data record are to be stored. You create the column by placing the mouse pointer over "Columns". Press the right mouse button. A pulldown menu opens. Select "Add column".

Using the "Send by E-mail" item, you determine whether, how and when the archive is to be sent by E-mail. To create an E-mail, press the "Create" button to the right next to the list.

In "Browser request", you now set how the archive data are to be displayed in a browser window. You create a request plan by pointing the mouse over "Browser request" in the directory tree. Press the "Create" button to the right next to the list.
Data
The basic definition of the archive is made here.
Designation
The Archive is kept under this name in the HomeServer Expert.
Ring memory
The number entered here sets the maximum number of data records in the data archive. If this number is reached then the oldest data records is replaced by the most recent data record.
Cycle
If this option is selected then the data are recorded in cycles.
Yes: Recording is in cycles. Refer to Duration of cycle. Independent of this option, a data record can always be stored on command.
No: Recording must be triggered by a
command. .
Duration of cycle
The data are stored at these intervals.
Deadtime
This time prevents data being recorded at intervals that are too short.
This time is primarily significant with respect to data recording
commands .
Example: If the deadtime is 60 seconds then data storage commands are only run after this time has expired. (FAQ on topic)
Columns
Up to a total of 32 communication objects (columns) can be stored simultaneously in a line. This simplifies subsequent evaluation. The first column of every archive always contains the date and time.
The columns are created, edited or deleted using the control knobs to the right next to the list. A
screen appears for this.
Sending an E-mail
This list shows all definitions that can be sent by E-mail.
Press the "Create/Edit/delete" control knobs to the right next to the list to do this. A
screen appears for editing.
http call-up
This list shows all definitions that can be called-up per http request.
Press the "Create/Edit/delete" control knobs to the right next to the list to do this. A
screen appears for editing.
