Sending an E-mail

The sending of information and pictures using E-mail is determined in this screen. First, the volume and scope of data is set and how it is to be sent.
The receivers are assigned by the command "Send data by E-Mail". The reception group is set within its own program item.
Designation
Designation of the data to be sent, e.g. Temperatures during the last 24 hours.
Time period
Time period from which the data is to be sent. Examples are contained in the FAQ on this topic. The time period is always in seconds.
These selection boxes are not available in all screens!
Max. lines
Maximum number of lines to be sent. Examples are contained in the FAQ on this topic. This box is not available in all screens!
Format
The data are sent in this format. The formats HTML, XML and CSV are available.
HTML-structured is also available for EIB monitor.
Sorting
The sorting of the data selected above is set here (according to time period and/or lines).
Decimal separator
The decimal separator is entered here (a full stop or a comma).
Reference line
The reference line in the E-mail is set here The reference line can be composed of a "fixed text" and variable text items.
Send as attachment
Yes: The archive data are sent in an attached file.
NO: The data are directly embedded into the E-mail.
Name of attachment
Name of the attached file. The file name can be composed of a "fixed text" and variable text items.
e.g. Temp%j.zip means that the file name has a name with a consecutive number on every day: temp210.zip on the 210th day of the year.

We recommend you use normal extensions for the file name:
a compressed file has a .zip extension,
a file in html format has a .htm extension,
a file in csv format has a .csv ending,
a file in xml format has an .xml format,
a camera picture has the ending .jpg or .jpeg
Deadtime
After sending the data, a further command for sending is only accepted after the time set here has expired.
Max. age
If an E-mail can not be sent for technical reasons then the data are no longer sent after the time set here has expired.
Compress data
Yes: The data are sent in zip format.
