This example shows how you send the value of any communication object (e.g. 14-byte object) using IP/EIB telegram to another IP device (e.g. other HomeServers) or a 14-byte communication object (e.g. Gira Infodisplay 2.0).
The following steps are required:
-
Step 1:
create the telegram via the toolbar or the pop-up menu.
-
Step 2:
Select the receiver type (IP telegram or 14-byte communication object). Enter the data of the receiver (type of telegram, address, IP port or communication object).
-
Step 3:
The required data blocks must be defined under Send. If, e.g. the text Temp.: 14.5°C is to be sent as a telegram, the following three data blocks must be defined:
- The first data block must be of the type Text. It therefore follows that in the "Free text" field, the value Temp.: must be entered.
- The second data block must be of the type Communication object as plain text. Here, the communication object is selected whose value is to be sent.
- The third and last data block must once more be of the type Text. Here, the value °C is in the field "Free text"
-
Step 4:
Now only the suitable command of command type "Send IP/EIB-telegram" must be created. The command can be triggered, e.g. in the logic or in the Visu.
- Ready!
If now in Step 4 the created command is triggered, the HomeServer sends the defined IP telegram.
