Menu - Screen design menu page
The boxes and knobs in the input layout have the following meanings:
Screen design
Menu screen
(1) Menu tree
Right-clicking in the menu tree opens a program menu.
(2) Select design
All designs available within the project are shown in these bars.
Up to 5 designs can be assigned in the program item
Project/Design.
(3) Commands / User groups bars
These bars can be blanked out in menu item Project/Interface or Project/User groups.

  • Commands: The commands assigned here are run when the page is requested. For example, make an entry in the message archive or switch on a consumer when requesting a page.

  • User groups: User groups are assigned here. Only users that are members of a user group may request this page. If this is the start page of a user that is not a member of this group then all subordinate pages are invisible to him. (Example of user groups)
  • (4) Transmit knob
    This knob transmits the designation in the field 1 line (line and title)
    (5) Display in line
    The display in the menu bar is set in this section.
    A menu bar comprises up to 2 lines of text and an icon.

    1st line:
    Text in the first menu bar. This text can not be changed dynamically.

    2nd line: Text in the second menu bar. This text can be changed dynamically.
    You can switch between them by pressing the knob [Stat] [Dyn].

    Icon: This icon appears in the HomeServer menu for operating. It can be static or it can change dynamically.
    You can switch between them by pressing the knob [Stat] [Dyn].

    (6) Display in the title line
    If a menu item-menu page has additional sub-menu items then this menu item appears when selecting in the header.
    This display is set in this section.
    (7) Knobs [Stat] [Dyn]
    These knobs switch between static and dynamic for each text line and icon.
    (8) [=] [!=] knob Automatic transfer to other designs
    [=] If several designs are used then the text from the 1st line is automatically transferred into all other designs. The texts are all identical.
    [!=] If these icon appears then the texts in line 1 are different.
    Pressing the knob transfers the text from the selected design to all other designs.
    (9) Icon line
    This icon is displayed in the line. If the icon is larger than the space planned for it then you can switch to total view using the magnifying glass.
    (A) Icon title
    This icon is displayed in the title line. If the icon is larger than the space planned for it then you can switch to total view using the magnifying glass.
    (B) Text control / icon control
    Entries used in controlling the display of texts and icons are made in this line.
    Both boxes are enabled when the text or icon is to change dynamically.
    Knobs (7) [Dyn] enable these boxes.

    Text in the second line can be controlled by the following objects:

  • Communication object Here, the value of the communication object is used to control a dynamic text module.
  • Timer: the setting of the timer is shown here, if it is activated
  • Calendar of holidays: the setting of the calendar of holidays is displayed here
  • Calendar of public holidays the setting of the calendar of public holidays is displayed here


  • Dynamic text modules and icon modules can be created (Project/Design-Dynamic Icons/Texts) to allow texts and icons to change depending on the condition of the above-mentioned control objects.
    Example of dyn. text and icon

    This example shows the setting for a dynamic text (blue frames) in the second line "Light ON" "Light OFF".
    The red frames show the settings for a dynamic icon "Light ON" "Light OFF".
    Text/icon control is via the communication object "Light for cellar" (upper area).
    Example of dyn. text by timer

    This example shows the setting so that the setting of the timer is displayed as a dynamic text. These settings can only be made in the first designs for all designs.
    Here, the settings of the "Timer, outside lighting" are shown in the second line.
